Which products should be entered into the IDNV?

All products related to music and performance - i.e. pop, classical music and jazz - can be entered into the IDNV. This includes, for example: printed music, scores, study material, orchestra purchase and teaching material, books publications with CDs, merchandise and concomitant products. I.e., everything that is sold by the industry and should be presented to customers can be placed in the IDNV.

One of our publishing house's composers is not in the composer list. How can a composer be added?

The composer list is maintained by the headquarters to ensure a unified standard for the IDNV. The list entries can be used for a standardised entry and search of persons. Therefore, the list should be as complete as possible. If you would like to add one or more composers to this list, please send us the pertinent information, which should be in the form of: Last name, first name, dates of birth and death (where applicable). As a precondition for an entry into the list, works by this composer should be present in the IDNV item database or be entered soon thereafter. (The reason: Otherwise, a search through the composer list would produce no results.)

I would like to enter several languages into the language field. Is this possible?

Currently, only one language can be entered. An extension of this field is projected and will be implemented asap.

Are entries in all fields necessary for adding an item?

The fields consist of mandatory and optional fields. In order to add an item, only mandatory fields have to be filled out. The data set can be completed or modified at any time. In order to improve the quality of the database and to ensure successful searches, it is helpful to add as many details as possible.
