The version 1.3.5 (technical update) can now be downloaded here and will soon be made available to all subscribers via the online update.

The version 1.3.4 has now been released and will be made available to IDNV participants.

The version 1.3.4 is now entering the practical test phase and will be made available to all subscribers via the online update facility in September.

As well as many improvements of details, this version contains the following new features:

• Possibility of Software online update within the data exchange system
• In addition to the online update for data changes, an integrated download function for the complete databases is now available, which facilitates installation via the internet. All you need to do is simply download and install the software. When the program starts, it will ask whether the databases should be downloaded.
  In addition, this function is useful should the databases have been damaged or deleted by accident. For this, there is a corresponding function in the data exchange menu.
• New field "Availability display". This shows the availability status of an item in a clear way and also takes into consideration the fields "Publication date" and "Sign off date". For example, an item is displayed as "Pre-publication" if its publication date is in the future. Items are displayed as "New publication" if their publication date is less than 60 days ago . It is also possible to search quickly in this field, for example for "New" or simply "A" for Available.
  The possible statuses can be shown with the key F2 when the cursor is in the appropriate search field.
  Please beware: for compatibility reasons, the old field "Availability" remains in use. If the old field is displayed in your program and the settings have been saved, the new field ("Availability display") might not be shown. Please display it via the menu View -> Select columns or via the context menu, which appears by right-clicking on the field name. You can hide the old field.
• From this version onwards, the ISMN will be displayed in the new 13-digit EAN format, as has been the ISBN for a while now. For the search or import of orders, the old format can still be used if necessary.
  
• Possibility of import and export for the allocation of customer numbers, freely as well as via a standardised interface.
• The program can also work as system service (from Windows 2000). This means the program can work in the background if no user is logged on to the computer. The installation and starting of the service can be done via the File menu or when starting the program with the parameter "-SD". As soon as the service is running, the steps that have been ticked in the "data exchange" dialog box will be automatically carried out in the set time interval, e.g. the update of catalogue data and the reception, export and printing out of orders.
