Allocation of ISMN numbers for the German speaking area

Our partner company (Service- und Dienstleistungsunternehmen) Acamar GmbH has taken over the management of ISMN allocation for the following countries on behalf of the German Music Publishers Association (DMV):

Austria
Germany
Switzerland

The ISMN (International Standard Music Number) is a particular EAN number range (European Article Number) that is available as a barcode on almost all products in retail. Like the ISBN which was introduced for books, the ISMN serves as the unique and machine-readable identification for sheet music, so for musical products such as sheet music and related items.
